Despite rumors floating around, we are not closed. As part of our New Year plan, we have created a quarantine area for new dogs that come in as we do not know what diseases (if any) that they may bring into our shelter, we are not under quarantine. This word seems to have misinterpreted and people are concerned. Currently we are only accepting animals by appointment only and if you are on this list we will get to you. If you have any questions or concerns, please call us within office hours or email us anytime, and we will get back to you ASAP.

Since June/July 2009 we have no Animal Control Officer from our offices. The County Codes Department has taken over this role, and you can contact them on 912-287-4379 for all animal issues. If outside of working hours, and it is an emergency, please dial 911
